About Us

About All About The Office

At All About The Office, we specialise in practical office furniture solutions — including supply, repair, refurbishment, and DSE workstation assessments.

Since 2002, we’ve worked hands-on with businesses of all sizes, helping them extend the life of their furniture, reduce unnecessary costs, and create more effective, compliant workspaces.

We don’t just sell office furniture — we work with it, repair it, rebuild it, improve it, and assess how it supports the people using it.

Over 20 Years of Hands-On Experience

Founded by Adam Brett in 2002, All About The Office has grown through real, practical experience in the office furniture industry.

With over two decades in the trade, we’ve:

  • Repaired and refurbished thousands of office chairs
  • Worked across offices, commercial spaces, and public sector environments
  • Built and trained multiple teams in furniture repair and refurbishment
  • Developed a deep understanding of how office furniture performs over time

This isn’t theory — it’s hands-on experience gained from years of working directly with furniture in real working environments.

A Practical Approach to Office Furniture

We believe office furniture shouldn’t be treated as disposable.

Too often, perfectly serviceable furniture is replaced unnecessarily — increasing costs and contributing to waste.

Our approach is simple:

  • Repair where possible
  • Refurbish where practical
  • Replace only when necessary

We actively encourage businesses to think long-term when purchasing furniture — choosing products that can be maintained, adapted, and refurbished over time.

This isn’t just a sustainability message — it’s good business.

DSE Workstation Assessments & Workplace Ergonomics

Alongside our hands-on repair and refurbishment work, we also provide DSE (Display Screen Equipment) workstation assessments to help businesses create safer, more effective working environments.

With the rise of hybrid working and home-based setups, many workstations are no longer properly assessed or optimised — which can lead to discomfort, reduced productivity, and long-term health issues.

We support businesses and individuals by:

  • Assessing workstation setup and posture
  • Identifying risks linked to seating, desks, and screen positioning
  • Providing practical, real-world recommendations
  • Helping employers meet their DSE responsibilities
  • Advising on suitable furniture adjustments or upgrades

We don’t just assess — we understand the furniture itself.

Because of our background in office seating, repairs, and refurbishment, we can go beyond a standard checklist and offer practical solutions that can be implemented immediately.

This might include:

  • Adjusting or modifying existing chairs
  • Replacing worn or unsuitable components
  • Reconfiguring workstation layouts
  • Advising on long-term ergonomic improvements

Whether you’re managing a full office, supporting hybrid staff, or working from home, we can help ensure your setup is both comfortable and compliant.

On-Site Repairs & Mobile Workshop Service

One of the key ways we support our clients is through our on-site repair and refurbishment service.

Rather than removing furniture and causing disruption, we can often carry out work directly at your premises.

We regularly operate as a mobile repair workshop, allowing us to:

  • Set up on-site within your building, car park, or workspace
  • Carry out repairs and refurbishment in real time
  • Return furniture to use the same day
  • Work through large volumes efficiently

In some cases, we can even establish a temporary repair station within your premises — allowing your team to bring furniture to us as needed.

This approach reduces downtime, lowers costs, and keeps your workspace running smoothly.

Proven Experience with Large-Scale Projects

Over the years, we’ve supported both small businesses and large organisations with ongoing furniture maintenance and refurbishment.

For nearly a decade, we worked on a major project refurbishing and maintaining furniture for a high street banking organisation across hundreds of locations.

During this time, we:

  • Repaired and refurbished thousands of pieces of seating
  • Worked both on-site and within operational environments
  • Supported ongoing maintenance across multiple branches
  • Helped extend the lifecycle of large volumes of furniture

This experience demonstrates our ability to deliver both one-off projects and long-term, scalable solutions.

Who We Work With

We work with anyone who uses office furniture — from individuals to large organisations.

This includes:

  • Businesses and office environments
  • Hybrid and home workers
  • Schools, colleges, and education settings
  • Commercial and public sector organisations
  • Multi-site companies with ongoing furniture needs

If your team sits at a desk, we can help.

Our Background & Locations

Over the years, we’ve operated from locations including Bedford, Luton, and Milton Keynes, with workshop and manufacturing capabilities developed in-house from 2010 onwards.

Today, we operate flexibly — combining a workshop base with on-site services to support clients wherever they are.

We are currently based in Bedfordshire and work with clients locally and across the UK.

Looking Ahead — Pop-Up Repair & Showroom (2026)

We are currently developing a pop-up showroom and repair space, launching in 2026.

This will allow clients to:

  • Bring furniture directly to us for assessment and repair
  • Explore refurbishment options in person
  • Discuss workspace and furniture requirements face-to-face

Alongside this, we continue to offer on-site assessments for full office environments.
